Vaccination, conscientious objection and human rights

Abstract This paper discusses the extent to which conscientious objections vaccination qualify for protection under European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Drawing an examination of nature conscience and ethics vaccine refusal, it argues that a narrow category reasons refusal be vaccinated can differentiated from more general ‘vaccine hesitancy’. In relation this kind, engages in systematic analysis applicability ECHR, both compulsory vaccination, so-called passports’. It concludes states – some situations must recognise ECHR.
